RAINBOW

Our beautiful Scarlet macaw “Rainbow” crossed the bridge that bears her name on August 12th, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. It was very difficult to say goodbye to such a special bird who has been a part of Fine Feathered Friends Foundation for close to 25 years. 

Rainbow was previously Myrna Frame’s pet bird and she came to live with us after Myrna retired and moved out of state. Rainbow (and other birds) accompanied Myrna during visits to schools, churches and other events, delighting children and adults over the years - Rainbow was a true ambassador for Fine Feathered Friends Foundation. Everyone loved her sweet, though spunky, personality, and her brightly colored feathers!

Rainbow became our official “greeter” upon her arrival here in El Segundo. She took her job very seriously and enjoyed sitting out on her patio stand with me, delighting everyone who came to us for adoptions/relinquishments, with a big “HELLO” and outstretched “eagle” wings. 

What else can I say about such a special bird?  Every one of our feathered friends is special to us and dear to our hearts, and Rainbow was TRULY a special soul and is missed immensely.
